Oz Forensics – a global leader in preventing biometric and deepfake fraud – announces today the introduction of new technology in its portfolio: on-device Liveness. This technology targets specific customers across multiple segments like transportation and logistics companies, oil industry companies and remote construction sites, countryside roadworks, forestry, etc.
The standard way to provide Biometric and Liveness checks is to take a selfie and video on the device and send them to a server; then, the server takes care of the processing and authentication phase and gives the results back.
On-device Liveness completely changes the approach, performing analyses directly on the device. No data is sent to the server from the device and stays in the customer’s hands. With the advantage of no Internet connection required, the on-device Liveness is perfect in any customer’s use case, improving reachability, availability, and stability of the services everywhere. The only requirement is to install the Oz Liveness on-device app, available for iOS and Android. This allows a 50% integration time saving without server interaction and implementation cost, faster customer journey to 1 second as no delays in sending data to the server, and an easy and quick-to-use experience.
